Bio
Dr. Carr, Chief of Pediatric Urology, understands that pediatric urology encompasses the surgical management of urologic anomalies, but that it all involves assessing and managing children who have ongoing urinary incontinence or have recurrent urinary tract infections.
These are very sensitive issues that affect children; his approach is to develop a rapport with each child and family so that he can understand from their perspective what is happening and most importantly, explain to them and their parents what can be
done to help improve the issue.

A Note From Dr. Carr
"The opportunity to
work with dedicated, caring and compassionate individuals, in addition to an
institution that provides outstanding pediatric care attracted both my wife and
I to CHKD. I have been fortunate enough to train at outstanding institutions,
work in world class children's hospitals and to spend time in an area where
pediatric urology did not exist. All of these experiences have galvanized my
desire to advance pediatric urologic care with the best outcomes, sensitive to
the needs of the community. We look forward to assimilating in the Hampton
Roads area and joining our CHKD family."
