Bio
Dr. Conrad comes to CHKD from Richmond, where she helped
create a community hospital-based intensive care unit, pediatric critical care
transport system, and in-patient pediatric service. As a co-chairman of the
committee for pre-hospital pediatric care, she wrote the first pediatric
protocols and procedures for paramedics in Richmond.
After becoming a parent, she transitioned to private
practice pediatrics and has now joined the newest pediatric specialty: urgent
care. She continues to integrate her fondness for teaching and community
outreach while providing the best medical care for sick children.
Dr. Conrad has one daughter, is an animal lover, and shares
a home with dogs, cats, a bird and backyard chickens. She spends her free time
with family, gardening, and making jewelry.
A Note From Dr. Conrad
“Urgent care for children is a unique and much-needed medical service for all children. As we know, parents and health care providers alike, children get sick quickly. Many health care needs cannot wait until the morning and do not take a holiday. That’s where we come in!”
