Our Main Hospital
Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters is a is a 206-bed not-for-profit teaching hospital with special units dedicated to neonatal and pediatric intensive care, cancer care, acute inpatient rehabilitation, medical and surgical care, and transitional care. As a freestanding, full-service children's hospital, every inch of our facility and all members of our medical team are devoted exclusively to the needs of infants, children, and young adults.
Pediatric Primary Care Locations
Our primary care practices, with more than 100 board-certified pediatricians and nurse practitioners, can be found throughout southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. Most locations offer evening and weekend hours as well as quick access for sick children and after-hours guidance to answer urgent questions.
CHKD Health and Surgery Centers - Outpatient Care Close to Home
CHKD Health and Surgery Centers are community-based, multiservice health centers that offer state-of-the-art surgery for both complex and routine procedures as well as a variety of pediatric specialty care services.
Urgent Care Centers
CHKD Urgent Care Centers are staffed by board-certified pediatricians, pediatric nurses and pediatric-trained nurse practitioners and physician assistants who work all day, every day, with children. We take care of all kids, from birth to their 21st birthday, and have X-ray and lab services on site.
Mental Health Hospital
Children’s Pavilion provides a setting that integrates mental health care with other routine medical services so that patient feel as comfortable seeking mental health treatment as they do visiting their pediatrician for checkups or their sports medicine physician for an injury on the field.
