Compassion When Needed Most
CHKD volunteers lend that special touch, go that extra smile, and offer that willing pair of hands to help make a difference in the care we are known for.
We promise "great rewards" to the unselfish individual who comes to CHKD with a desire to help. That's because we believe no reward is greater than the satisfying feeling you get when you labor unselfishly for others, especially for sick children. Whatever your need, we'll try to match it to ours. We can help you give the greatest gift of all. All you need to do is spare a little time and share a little of yourself.
Volunteer Orientation
All applicants approved to volunteer after a personal interview with volunteer services staff must review our orientation information. After reviewing the information, take the quiz sent to you via email.
Volunteers assigned to a specific department or function are required to complete additional orientation. Find information for your specified training below.
If you are assigned to the child life department at your interview, you will also need to review the child life orientation information. After reviewing the material, take the quiz sent to you via email. Please note that only child life volunteers are required to complete both orientation quizzes.
If you and your pet are new to the Buddy Brigade program at CHKD, you must review this information. Here you'll find Buddy Brigade contact information, training and scheduling information, and more for a smooth and successful volunteer experience.
