- Washing or sanitizing hands again.

- Disinfecting the injection cap of the child's central line using the provided disinfectant.
- Attaching and flushing the saline syringe.

- If Heparin is not required, place a new disinfectant cap on the clear cap.
- If Heparin is required, clean the end of the cap, then attach and flush the Heparin syringe.
