Bio

Dr. Blackard is a developmental and behavioral pediatrics doctor with a particular interest in genetic disorders, autism, and neurodevelopment of high-risk infants. 

She grew up in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, and received her bachelor's degree at the University of Virginia. She attended medical school at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, and completed her pediatrics residency and a fellowship in developmental and behavioral pediatrics there as well.

She was drawn to the field of developmental and behavioral pediatrics because she loves caring for children with physical and neurodevelopmental differences.

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and trying new restaurants.
