Bio

Since Dr. Schank was 5 years old, she knew she would become a pediatrician. Her passion for helping children has been magnified through extensive volunteer work.

When Dr. Schank was old enough, she began volunteering in the pediatric ward at the local hospital where she grew up on Long Island and continued to volunteer in pediatric wards until attending medical school. Dr. Schank is involved with anti-bully education, promotes the Reach Out and Read program, has lectured on health maintenance and pediatric dermatological disorders, and volunteered at Camp Jordan, a camp for children with diabetes.

She went on a medical mission’s trip to Honduras two consecutive years to help study asthma in rural underprivileged children who did not have readily accessible healthcare. Dr. Schank assisted in bringing better asthma treatment and access of care to these children.

Dr. Schank has an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, keeping up with new advances in pediatric medicine and maintaining her continuing medical education. She has a true passion to ensure each child is safe and well cared for, and takes a very proactive approach to her medical practice. Dr. Schank feels it is a great honor and privilege to provide medical care from a child’s birth through college and strives to provide in-depth examinations for each and every child.
