Bio
Dr. Emily Schank grew up in the small Long Island town of Mt. Sinai, where she knew from the age of five that she wanted to become a pediatrician. Guided by that lifelong goal, she has dedicated her career to caring for children and supporting families with compassion and evidence-based medicine.
Dr. Schank completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters and joined Pediatric Associates, a practice of CHKD Medical Group in 2008. After 17 years in primary care, she transitioned to urgent care in 2025 to focus on providing timely, acute care for children and families in need. She is passionate about helping young patients feel better quickly and reassuring parents through every stage of their child’s care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Schank enjoys spending time with her husband and children, attending their sports games, reading, and relaxing at the beach. She values family time and the balance it brings to her life.
