Erinn F. Portnoy, LCSW, is the Director of the Child Advocacy Center at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters in Norfolk, Virginia, and an instructor in child abuse pediatrics at Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University. She is a licensed clinical social worker with over 27 years of experience in the mental health field, including 24 years of experience in child maltreatment.
Erinn has been at the Child Advocacy Center since 2008. She is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and is trained in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy.
In addition, Erin serves as chair of the Hampton Roads Trauma-Informed Community Network, an organization dedicated to promoting awareness of how trauma impacts individuals and communities. In this role, she advocates for trauma-informed practices that empower people to heal, grow, and reach their full potential.
