Bio
Hannah Burmeister, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker with CHKD’s Child Advocacy Center, where she specializes in treating traumatic stress, trauma-related reactions, and problem behaviors in children. She utilizes evidence-based treatments including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI). Hannah is also certified in the Modular Approach to Therapy for Children (MATCH).
Hannah began her career at CHKD in 2021 as a medical social worker in the Trauma/Emergency Department, later serving as a referral specialist with the CHKD Mental Health Service Line. Before joining CHKD, she worked in human services, providing direct support to children and families in crisis and investigating cases of suspected child abuse and neglect.
Dedicated to fostering healing and resilience, Hannah is proud to work for an organization that promotes health, healing, and hope for all children.
Outside of her professional work, Hannah enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, traveling, working out, competing in sports, and taking walks with her dogs. She also values her faith and enjoys watching documentaries and spending time outdoors.
