Bio

Lori Shelton, MMS, PA-C, is a dedicated clinician and educator with a passion for caring for children and preparing the next generation of physician assistants. She completed her PA training at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and brings nearly two decades of clinical experience spanning general pediatrics, pediatric urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, and gastroenterology. Her work in pediatric care has been especially meaningful, where she enjoys supporting children and families through a wide range of health needs while promoting thoughtful, evidence-based care, including a strong interest in the judicious use of antibiotics. She is also proud to have served in the National Health Service Corps, providing primary care in a rural underserved community in Tennessee.

In her role as Director of Preclinical Education at Randolph-Macon College’s PA Program, Lori was deeply committed to creating engaging, student-centered learning experiences that prepared future PAs for compassionate and competent practice. She developed curriculum, taught physiology and pathophysiology, and mentored students across both classroom and clinical environments. Lori is passionate about fostering confident, collaborative clinicians and finds great fulfillment in blending her love of pediatrics with her dedication to PA education.
