Bio
Mary Wright is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to supporting children and families through the healing process following traumatic experiences. Originally from Virginia Beach, VA, Mary brings both professional expertise and deep compassion to her work. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Social Work (DSW) at Tulane University and holds a Master’s degree from the University of Connecticut (2011).
Mary’s clinical interests include trauma and LGBTQIA+ affirming care. She holds certifications in several evidence-based treatment modalities, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Sexual Behavior Problems (TF-CBT PSB), and MATCH-ADTC. She is currently working toward certification as a Certified Family Strengths and Trauma-Informed Intervention (CFSTI) provider.
Outside of work, Mary enjoys hiking, gardening, arts and crafts, and spending time outdoors with her wife and their beloved pets. She is an active member of the local community and currently serves as the Events Director for Stonewall Sports Norfolk, where she helps promote inclusivity, wellness, and fun through sports and social events.
