Personal Statement

I chose to work at CHKD because of its strong reputation for providing excellent, compassionate care to patients. I’m also drawn to its role as a teaching institution, which offers valuable opportunities for continued learning and professional growth.

Bio

Nguyen grew up in Da Nang, Vietnam. As a child, he contracted rheumatic fever and was hospitalized for a week. During that time, Nguyen was deeply moved by the dedication and compassion of the doctors and nurses who cared for him. That experience inspired his lasting interest in nursing and desire to help others through healthcare.

Nguyen is passionate about providing mental healthcare to the pediatric population. He values education and professional development.

In his spare time, Nguyen enjoys spending time with his wife, his two daughters, and their dog. He also like cooking, watching sports, working out, meditating, and traveling whenever time permits.
