Personal Statement
It is a privilege to be affiliated with CHKD. CHKD is a unique facility with a close community of general pediatricians, surgeons, specialists, and residents, all striving for quality pediatric medical care.
Bio
Dr. Nottingham has lived in the area off and on since 1979 due to military ties and has worked at TCA since 2002. After majoring in biology at UVA, he graduated from EVMS. While completing residency at the University of North Carolina, he knew he wanted to return to Norfolk and CHKD. In addition to patient care, he enjoys teaching residents and medical students in the office. He is active on several committees, including the Children's Medical Group Immunization Committee.
Dr. Nottingham prides himself on practicing logical, evidence-based medicine. He strives to educate his patients as much as possible about their medical problems. He believes in prevention, appropriate testing, and judicious use of antibiotics.
He lives in Norfolk with his wife and two children. His wife is a physical therapist at CHKD. He enjoys cooking, baseball, music, and spending time with his family.
