CHKD Pediatric Urgent Care | Chesapeake
Please Note: Wait Times Longer than Usual
CHKD’s Urgent Care centers are seeing an increase in viral illness, including COVID-19. Most viral illnesses can be cared for at home. Consider calling your physician or insurances nurse line before seeking urgent care services for a viral illness.
Due to the high number of
patients seeking urgent care, we may reach capacity prior to our published
closing time of 8 p.m. and be unable to accept additional walk-in patients. Our
capacity will be determined each day based on resources and staffing available.
We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
We realize that long wait times are challenging for families, so we want to manage your expectations in advance. We encourage you to visit our website to see wait times before heading out so you can plan accordingly.
COVID-19 Information for Urgent Care Patients and Families
For the protection of our patients, and to assist in the effort to control the spread of the COVID-19, we are asking that just two parents/guardians accompany their child to any of our CHKD Urgent Care locations.
CHKD Urgent Cares are busy, but not operating at capacity. Your wait time may be longer than usual, but we are still seeing patients.

Pediatric Urgent Care
Our Urgent Care centers are staffed by board-certified pediatricians, pediatric nurses and pediatric-trained nurse practitioners and physician assistants who work all day, every day, with children. We take care of all kids, from birth through their 21st birthday, and have
X-ray and lab services on site.
Whether it’s a sudden illness or an on-field injury, our Urgent Care pediatricians are ready to take care of your child. We’ll also communicate back with your child’s regular doctor. If your child goes to a
CHKD pediatric practice, we even share the same medical record.
If your child experiences a life-threatening emergency, call 911. But for everything else that can’t wait until tomorrow, turn to the experts at CHKD Urgent Care.
Conditions we treat include, but are not limited to, the following:
