Nuss procedure pioneer Dr. Donald Nuss has made major contributions in the fields of pediatric surgery and thoracic surgery. Nominated for the APSA Robert E. Gross Award, Dr. Donald Nuss has made a major impact on pediatric surgery locally, nationally, and internationally. His contributions have resulted in a major change in how pediatric surgeons manage chest wall deformities, and the results have been demonstrated to be durable with time and widely accepted by pediatric surgeons as "standard practice."
