John Becker

Interim Vice President, Mental Health Services

Duties

Becker serves CHKD and the community by leading the system-wide delivery of highly reliable and evidence-based mental healthcare services, with responsibility for business strategy, regulatory matters, and collaboration with community stakeholders.

Background

Becker’s career in healthcare began at CHKDHS in 2001 as an Administrative Resident under the CEO. He most recently served as Director of Strategic Initiatives working throughout the Health System and helped establish Fortify Children’s Health, Virginia’s first pediatric-only Clinically Integrated Network founded by CHKDHS and UVA Medical Center. Prior to this, he served as Director of Physician Practice Management. 

Education

Becker has a B.S. from St. John’s University (MN) and a joint J.D. and M.S. – Healthcare from the University of South Dakota.
