Personal Statement
I completed my medical training locally at EVMS. Upon completion, I interviewed at some very competitive programs along the east coast. None compared to the warm, inviting and team-oriented atmosphere here at CHKD. I made the decision to stay for my pediatric training and have enjoyed being part of the CHKD team ever since.
Bio
Dr. Schindler is from a small community in central Virginia. She grew up in a somewhat large family with three younger brothers and sisters. She is now married and has three young children of her own. Dr. Schindler's love for Hampton Roads began in medical school at EVMS and CHKD in 2001.
In her spare time, Dr. Schindler's schedule is filled with soccer practices, baseball, and after-school events. She likes to read and do some short distance running with her husband, who is an avid runner. She also loves to travel and is fluent in Spanish.
