Bio

Dr. Lillian Nalwoga earned her medical degree at Mbarara University of Science & Technology in Uganda and completed her pediatric residency training here at CHKD.

Additionally, Dr. Nalwoga holds a master's degree in public health from the University of London, rounding out an academic profile that spans three continents. Her experience as a physician includes nearly a decade treating children and families in Southern Africa affected by HIV.

She is excited to rejoin Children’s Hospital of The King's Daughters as a physician in the General Academic Pediatrics practice, as she feels that it provides an amazing opportunity to form lasting relationships with children who will become our region’s future doctors, scientists, artists, and scholars.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Nalwoga enjoys spending time with her family, finding new adventures here in Hampton Roads, across the country, or even around the world. Born in Uganda, a landlocked country that straddles the equator, she has an unexpected love of snow skiing and snorkeling!

Dr. Nalwoga’s journey began in the Pearl of African, her homeland of Uganda. It was there that she laid the foundation of her career in medicine, learning from dedicated Ugandan and American doctors who inspired her with their knowledge and passion.
