Bio

Dr. Bryan is originally from Mississippi but grew up in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. Both medicine and military service were prominent in his family, which led to his attendance of the United States Naval Academy and later University of North Carolina School of Medicine.

Dr. Bryan considers himself fortunate that his Navy career afforded him the opportunity to practice pediatric hematology/oncology while also serving in non-clinical roles, including Transitional Year Program Director, Pediatric Department Head, and Fleet Liaison. He retired from the Navy in July 2025 and is returning to full time clinical practice at CHKD.

Dr. Bryan lives in Chesapeake with his wife, two daughters, and their rescue pup, Harlee. Since 2012, he has been involved with St. Baldrick's Foundation as both a shavee and event organizer in the local area.
