Bio

Jamie McCullar, LCSW, grew up in Chesapeake, Virginia, and has spent most of her adulthood in Norfolk. She pursued a career in mental health out of a strong commitment to helping young people build insight, develop coping skills, and foster a sense of hope as they work toward lives they value.

Jamie’s clinical interests include crisis intervention, depression and anxiety, distress tolerance, and supporting youth through life transitions and periods of adjustment. She chose to work at CHKD for the opportunity to collaborate with a team that shares her passion for instilling hope in children and families.

Outside of work, Jamie enjoys walking through the city, visiting local coffee shops, and relaxing at home with her two cats.
