Personal Statement
I returned to CHKD because it genuinely feels like home. The providers and staff are not only incredibly kind but also work seamlessly as a team. I especially love caring for children — their bright smiles, joyful spirits, and boundless energy make every day meaningful. I truly can't imagine working with any other population.
Bio
Lauren grew up in Stafford, Virginia. Her interest in how the body works and desire to take care of others lead her down the nursing career path. Lauren worked in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at CHKD for about 3 and a half years before deciding to further her education and become a CRNA. Lauren has primarily worked with children throughout her career and considers them her favorite population.
Lauren found her interest in anesthesia due to the individual, patient-dependent nature of care and considers it to be an art. She prioritizes building relationships with patients and families to develop trust.
In her spare time, Lauren loves to read, check out new restaurants, and hang out with her husband, David, and their German shepherd, Chipper. She recently started running and volunteering through her local church.
