Bio

Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Dr. Coleman earned her doctorate degree from Oklahoma State University. Her internship was with the Munroe Meyer Institute where she worked within a rural integrated care setting by providing individual therapy, parent training, and psychological testing.

Before joining CHKD, Dr. Coleman completed a fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital where she specialized in addressing and treating severe and challenging behaviors.

Throughout her training, she worked with a variety of populations in different settings, which helped her expand her clinical skills.  Dr. Coleman believes centering the patient and family within the treatment is the first step in ensuring the patient’s values and goals are included as part of the treatment.

In her leisure time, Dr. Coleman enjoys spending time outside with her husband and two dogs.  She also enjoys exploring local businesses, trying new food spots, and exploring the city.
