Personal Statement

I am proud to practice within a system like CHKD that offers the expertise and resources of a major children's medical center while maintaining a strong commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Bio

Dr. Taylor Smith chose a career in medicine because of her desire to work in a field that is constantly evolving. During medical school, she was inspired by exceptional mentors who demonstrated the profound impact pediatricians can have on the lives of children and their families, leading her to pursue a career in pediatrics.

Her clinical interests include newborn care, breastfeeding support, and preventive care. She is passionate about partnering with families to support children's health and development from infancy through adolescence.

Dr. Smith joined CHKD because of its longstanding reputation for excellence within the community and the extensive network of resources available through a leading children's health system. She values the collaboration with therapists, subspecialists, and other pediatric experts that helps ensure comprehensive care for patients.

Outside of work, Dr. Smith and her husband stay busy chasing after their toddler. As a family, they enjoy exploring local antique shops and discovering new restaurants throughout the area. Her personal interests include reading and finding new music.
