Advancing Pediatric CT Imaging at CHKD

CHKD has installed the new NAEOTOM Alpha.Peak photon-counting CT scanner, which will begin patient use on December 8. This technology significantly reduces radiation exposure, speeds up scans, decreases the need for sedation, and delivers higher-resolution images with smaller contrast doses. With this installation, CHKD becomes the first hospital in Virginia to offer this advanced imaging technology, enhancing both patient safety and diagnostic accuracy.
