This program allows us to share in the success of identifying the right talent for the right job with your help.

If you know someone you think would be a great addition to our organization, you could be eligible for a referral bonus of up to $5,000 if you refer them for employment and they are hired.
Your candidate MUST write your name down when submitting their application. The question can be found under the additional info section of the application.
Research has shown that new hires who come to an organization through employee referrals are often excellent contributors, have a greater level of engagement, and stay with the company longer. There’s no limit to the number of referrals, so start referring today.

Frequently Asked Questions
- The applicant MUST indicate the referring employee's full name at the time of application, on the application within the talent acquisition system. The question can be found under the additional info section of the application.
- The employee referral program officially began on 10/18/2021. Eligibility is determined by those hired on or after 10/18/2021. The program officially opened to managers on 10/11/2022.
- If the referee (new hire) is referred by a transfer, the transfer is eligible to receive a referral bonus.
- If the referee (new hire) is referred by a traveler or temp labor hire, the traveler or temp labor hire is NOT eligible to receive a referral bonus. In general, travelers and temp labor hires are NOT eligible to receive referral bonuses.
- If the referee (new hire) is a transfer, traveler, or temp labor hire, they do not make the referring employee eligible to receive a referral bonus. This includes transfers, travelers, and temp labor hires converting to direct employees.
- If the referee (new hire) is a rehire, the rehire must not have been employed by CHKDHS for 12 months in order to make the referring employee eligible to receive a referral bonus.
- If the referring employee is a rehire, they are still eligible to receive a referral bonus.
- Director level and above and HR staff are not eligible to receive a bonus. Physicians are also not eligible to receive a bonus.
- The referring employee must not be part of the hiring decision of the referral.
- If more than one employee is listed, the bonus will be divided equally between referring employees.
- The bonus is paid based on the referee's job at the time of the referral.
- The referral bonus is paid in 3 installments. The first payment is a taxable line item direct deposited in the employee's paycheck approximately 90 days after the new hire’s start date. The next payment is 1 year from the start date, and the final payment is 2 years from the start date.
- The payments appear in the regularly scheduled paycheck. The bonus is processed in the closest pay period following the passage of the referee's 90 day date, the passage of the referee's one year anniversary date, and the passage of the referee's two-year anniversary date.
- Both the referring employee and the referee (new hire) must be employed by CHKDHS at the time of payout for the referring employee to remain eligible to receive the bonus payment. *This applies for every installment - the 90 day, 1 year, and 2 year. *This includes CMG and CSSG but NOT CSG.
