Personal Statement
Both of my children are competitive gymnasts, so I am no stranger to athletic issues and injuries. As a mother, I know how stressful it is when your child is sick or injured, so I love being able to provide great service at CHKD Urgent Care. It is a true privilege to take care of people during some of their most vulnerable moments and offer them the best care possible.
Bio
The daughter of a Navy veteran, Gandia grew up in Virginia Beach. While at Salem High School, she was a CHKD child life volunteer on the oncology unit. She became the first Eastern Virginia Medical School physician assistant program student to have a clinical rotation at CHKD and has now come full circle to work for CHKD.
She has over 15 years experience as a physician assistant and also works with the Department of Defense, taking care of our active duty, veterans, and their families at a local military branch primary care clinic.
