Bio

Charity is a physician assistant in CHKD's allergy, asthma, and immunology program. She graduated from the PA program at Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2002. Since then, she's gained clinical experience in cardiology, emergency medicine, and hematology/oncology.

Charity has always had a personal interest in allergy and immunology as she has managed food allergies, environmental allergies, asthma, severe eczema, and anaphylaxis in her own family.

She has been active with the Coastal Food Allergy Support group since 2011. She is currently president of the group and once served as the education and outreach coordinator.

She believes that patient education is an extremely important aspect of medicine and appreciates having a unique perspective to offer families.

Charity has lived in various parts of the country while supporting her husband through medical school and residency training. They've enjoyed being back in Hampton Roads with their three children and three rescue dogs.
