Bio
Dr. Fontana grew up the daughter of a naval officer. She enjoyed traveling and living around the world so much that she applied for and was awarded a Navy scholarship for her medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School.
After training at Portsmouth Naval Hospital, she was stationed in Guam as a general pediatrician. She returned to Portsmouth Naval Hospital to train Navy residents in pediatrics. She left the Navy in 1996 and joined CHKD Health System. Since then, she helped grow General Booth Pediatrics and opened Premier Pediatrics on First Colonial Road in Virginia Beach.
Dr. Fontana is the mother of three, including twins. She is an avid runner and member of the board of directors at Beach FC Soccer Club.
