Personal Statement
After completing my training, I knew I wanted to return to Virginia, and CHKD's exceptional reputation for caring for children throughout the Tidewater region made it the perfect place to begin my career.
Bio
Dr. Jones grew up in Mechanicsville, Virginia. He went to college at Morehead State University where he played football for four years as a running back and received a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Jones completed his medical training at the University of Virginia and his anesthesia residency training at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he was a chief resident. He completed his pediatric anesthesiology fellowship training at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
Dr. Jones chose pediatric anesthesiology because he loves working with children. Their resilience, imagination, and sense of humor make every day rewarding, and being able to make a positive difference for both his patients and their families is what inspires him most.
In his spare time, Dr. Jones enjoys being outdoors with his family.
