I chose CHKD because the team immediately felt welcoming and supportive. Being able to care for children and help families through important moments is what makes this work so meaningful to me.

Bio

Growing up in rural Virginia, Sharon knew from an early age that she wanted to pursue a career in healthcare. After spending ten years as a registered nurse, Sharon followed her passion for anesthesia and became a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, a journey that ultimately led her to CHKD.

Sharon is passionate about providing individualized care and believes every patient deserves to feel safe, heard, and cared for. She especially enjoys helping children and their families feel as comfortable and supported as possible during what can often be a stressful experience.

Sharon chose to join the team at CHKD because of its welcoming, collaborative culture and shared commitment to providing exceptional care for children.

Outside of work, Sharon enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and friends, whether it's exploring nature, staying active, or simply enjoying time together.
