Recreation Therapy Internship

The Recreation Therapy internship program at CHKD’s Children’s Pavilion is not accepting applications for 2027.

This 560-hour internship provides quality training for students pursuing careers as Therapeutic Recreation Specialists. Information about the program will remain available for those interested in learning more about the internship.

Eligibility and Program Information

The Children’s Pavilion of CHKD is an acute inpatient psychiatric program for children and adolescents experiencing mental health emergencies, including imminent risk of harm to self or others, or severe disruption of daily living.

The Integrative Care team includes an interdisciplinary group of professionals in Recreational Therapy, Art Therapy, and Music Therapy.
