Virginia Patient Safety Summit - February 23 (Virtual)

Thursday, February 23, 2023 – 9:30 a.m.-3:45 p.m. – Virtual Presentation

The 2023 Virginia Patient Safety Summit will be an opportunity for the Virginia hospital and health care community to have a conversation about “Moving Forward Together” as we continue to provide safe, high-quality patient care and foster joy in work among the healthcare workforce. Keynote speakers from across the country, including Dr. Tejal Gandhi, Chief Safety and Transformation Officer with Press Ganey Associates and Dr. Peter Pronovost, Chief Quality and Clinical Transformation Officer with University Hospitals in Cleveland, will also join us and contribute to the conversation.

New York Times bestselling author, Theresa Brown, will also be a keynote speaker for this year’s Safety Summit. In her recent memoir, “Healing: When a Nurse Becomes a Patient”, Brown describes her experience as a nurse who finds herself on the other side of the equation — as a patient. Her insights are certain to be valuable contributions to our statewide discussion.

5.0 hours of continuing education credits will be available for the 2023 Virginia Patient Safety Summit.
