Your Child's Stay

At CHKD, we understand how stressful it can be if your child needs to be hospitalized. Our integrative care team will work hard to help your child cope with their hospital experience.

Because we know that children are not small adults, we have highly trained pediatric specialists at CHKD. All of our healthcare providers have been specially trained to care for children of all sizes, whether drawing blood for tests, preparing medications, taking X-rays, or planning menus.

As a parent or caregiver, you too play an important role in your child's care. Helping your child adjust by maintaining familiar routines such as bathing, reading, and feeding will help them cope better during their stay.
