Refer to Ear, Nose, and Throat at CHKD
Pediatric ear, nose and throat specialists with the Macon and Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at ODU provide child-centered, comprehensive care of the ears, nose, throat, face, and neck at CHKD.
Each of these providers is highly skilled and specially trained in the management of general and complex disorders of the ears, nose, throat, face and neck as well as emergency ENT surgery.
The CHKD Advantage
Children requiring surgery are cared for by specialists in the region's only surgical program exclusively for children, where pediatric anesthesiologists and nurses are specifically trained to make surgery as safe and comfortable as possible for children.
Otolaryngologists at CHKD provide comprehensive care and work closely with general pediatricians to formulate long-term treatment plans for children with chronic illness and to provide care for children needing urgent ENT care. When needed, they consult with CHKD pediatric specialists in such areas as allergy, pulmonology, dentistry, infectious diseases, and hematology/oncology. Each child’s treatment plan is tailored to their unique needs.
Our patients also benefit from CHKD’s related ancillary services, such as audiology, speech-language pathology, and diagnostic testing, which cater to the special needs of children with disorders of the ears, nose and throat.
