Immunizations

Immunizations are one of the greatest advances in public health. They not only protect your child from developing diseases that have long been eradicated in this country, but they also protect your family, friends, and community.

Understanding Childhood Vaccine Recommendations

Parents likely have many questions regarding the Executive Order dated August 10, 2026, related to childhood vaccines. The Executive Order outlines the Administration’s recommendations regarding childhood vaccines and the role that states, the scientific and medical community, and parents should play in considering revisions to current, evidence-based best practices in administering childhood vaccines.

It is important to understand that the Executive Order does not change law, regulation, or evidence-based guidance that CHKD currently follows, including the number, schedule, timing, or composition of vaccines administered by CHKD pediatricians.
