Urgent Care

If your child is having a medical emergency, please either call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Room. If not, our Urgent Care providers are always happy to evaluate your child. However, there is a chance that, after that evaluation, your child may need to be referred to a higher level of care, which may result in two separate visits and two bills. We are unable to provide advice over the phone to help you decide without actually seeing your child.

COVID-19 Information for Urgent Care Patients and Families

For the protection of our patients, and to assist in the effort to control the spread of the COVID-19, we are asking that just one parent/guardian accompany their child to any of our CHKD Urgent Care locations. In addition, we are asking patient families to save their spot online prior to their visit. This is the best way for us to make sure our patients are getting the information they need before coming in. See below to save your spot online. Please note: CHKD Urgent Care centers do not offer rapid COVID-19 testing.

Please keep in mind that an arrival time is not the same thing as a set appointment. You may still have to wait when you get here because patients who arrive at the center with more serious conditions than your child’s may need to be helped before your child.

Pediatric Urgent Care

Our Urgent Care centers are staffed by board-certified pediatricians, pediatric nurses and pediatric-trained nurse practitioners and physician assistants who work all day, every day, with children. We take care of all sized kids, from toddlers to teens, and have  X-ray and lab services on site.

Whether it’s a sudden illness or an on-field injury, our Urgent Care pediatricians are ready to take care of your child. We’ll also communicate back with your child’s regular doctor. If your child goes to a  CHKD pediatric practice, we even share the same medical record.

If your child experiences a life-threatening emergency, call 911. But for everything else that can’t wait until tomorrow,  turn to the experts at CHKD Urgent Care.

Conditions we treat include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Cold and flu
  • Cough and wheezing
  •  Earaches
  • Fever (in children older than 2 months)
  • Stomach aches
  •  Vomiting
